In May 2019, the Department of Radiation Sciences relocated back to the medical campus in the new building dedicated to the College of Health Professions at 900 E. Leigh Street. The Department of Radiation Sciences is located on the 3rd floor with extensive dedicated laboratory space for all four educational programs (radiography, nuclear medicine, radiation therapy and diagnostic medical sonography).
With all of the CHP programs housed in one building, the opportunities for interprofessional collaboration are exciting for both students and faculty. Student lounges are located throughout the building providing refrigerators, microwaves and eating areas including an outdoor balcony overlooking Leigh Street and the medical campus skyline. With the Larrick Student Center and VCU’s bookstore within 1 block of the CHP building, there is easy access to a food court, Starbucks, fitness center, gym and pool facilities.
