This spring, rising senior Sonny Patterson received two awards/honors:

- Later this summer, he will attend the ASRT Student to Leadership Development Program in Albuquerque, N.M.
Rising senior Brandon Cutrer presented his research poster “Stents in Esophageal Cancer” during CHP Research Week.
Dempsey and Cohon co-authored a short report in the 2026 Spring edition of the ASRT Radiation Therapist journal entitled “Navigating Radiation Therapist Expertise and Physicist Collaboration in Patient Education,” along with colleague Maria Dimopoulos.
Faculty members Timmerie Cohen and Melanie Dempsey attended the VCU Military Services Graduation to support Radiation Therapy senior Kenzie Warren (USMC) and Radiography senior Joe McCampbell (US Army).
Tanya Craig, RTT (pictured with seniors Brandon Cutrer and Jayla Hardy) received the student-voted Outstanding Radiation Therapist award this year. Impressively, this makes the fourth time Craig has received this award.
